TSP Gymnastics
TSP Gymnastics has been re-introduced to Endeavour SHS as of 2020. It is a new format program for both MAG and WAG gymnasts which has been developed and grown over the last 4 years.
The program aims to develop competitive gymnasts further by offering additional training hours to work on Gymnasts weaknesses, develop their strength, flexibility and artistry across all apparatus. The coach will work closely with gymnasts and their club coaches to develop a program which will best suit the gymnast’s needs. We aim to help gymnasts acheive new skills and reach individual goals.
Gymnasts have the opportunity to compete for their school in School competitions annually at the Regional level and State CHS carnival if selected in the Sydney East team.
Training
Training is twice a week on both Tuesday and Thursday afternoons during the school day. Tuesday session is one hour and Thursday session 1.5- 2 hrs.
The venue hired for training is at the NSW Academy of Gymnastics, just a short walk from the school and has exceptional equipment. The facilities have a fully sprung floor, all MAG and WAG apparatus along with tumble track and foam pit to develop gymnasts' confidence and skills safely.
Coaching
The coach and mentor of the program is Mrs Karen Chalk who is also a teacher at Endeavour Sports High School. Karen has a wealth of coaching experience over the last 35 years and is Qualified at the Intermediate level currently studying the Advanced course. Karen also has over 30 years of judging experience and is qualified as an Advanced National Judge.
Fees
$850 annually.
