Wellbeing
At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.
We do this through:
- teachers who help students feel welcome and included
- access to school counsellors, school psychologists and specialist staff
- programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- help for students who are new or changing year levels
- clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- staff who get to know each child and work closely with families
- developing health care plans for students
- open communication about wellbeing and support.

STUDENT WELFARE
All students will be issued with a copy of the school’s Student Welfare Policy at the beginning of the year.
SCHOOL COUNSELLOR
Our School Counsellor is available to assist students with personal, social and educational problems. Appointments to see the Counsellor may be made at the Office. Students may also refer themselves or be referred by teachers or parents.
STUDENT SUPPORT OFFICER
Our Student Support Officer is available to assist students and their families through their time at high school. The SSO will work with students to develop coping skills, positive relationships, implement anti-bullying initiatives, connect students and families to outside organisations or community activities, and to promote and educate students about health and wellbeing.
OUR WELLBEING SUPPORT DOGS
Our wellbeing dogs Mabel and Honey.
They are a beloved part of the school community, offering emotional support, comfort, and companionship to students and staff. Our wellbeing dogs play a vital role in promoting mental health and wellbeing across the school.
